Our ancestors had to vie against all sorts of privations, threats and dangers to bring us here. Yet increasingly we find ourselves in an age where one of the biggest threats is drowning in bullshit.

It’s a pretty refined woe. You don’t have major worries about your colleague’s hypocrisy when you’re running from sabre-toothed tigers or whatever.

Social media has only made this matter so much worse.

It’s one thing to maintain the courage to call people on their bullshit and brace for the consequences.

The bigger danger is to not perceive the bullshit at all.

Increasingly, our struggle is to disengage from the bullshit aspects of society and remain still within.
