Do nothing – even though this…

Do nothing – even though this is sometimes easier said than done. If it were important, you wouldn’t have a dilemma about what to do in this situation you face (whatever it is). Instead, you would just get on with solving that problem or die trying or whatever. When someone knows what they want, they go after it unless some kind of dysfunction’s in play, and then you have to look at those payoffs to understand what legitimates their doubts. Doubts are useful and might even save your ass. Doubts get a pretty bad rap in general. Don’t give too much weight to acting right this very moment because the outcome isn’t necessarily the right one just because it seems favourable in hindsight. That’s just confirmation bias. If you’re trying to achieve an outcome and the same thing happens every time, then yes, do anything different. If you’re procrastinating or unsure or have doubts, there’s a reason, and shining a light on those doubts will reveal the path ahead. So instead, maybe do nothing. Doing nothing might be good for you. If you have doubts, and action isn’t urgent, it’s possible for everything to change overnight. Problems dissolve when the conditions that produced them change. And you just stood there and did nothing except get on with other stuff you had no doubts about.
